Suaahara II five-year (SII, 2016-2021) funded by USAID Nepal Integrated Nutrition Program aims to improve the nutritional status of women, disadvantaged groups and children in 389 municipalities of 42 districts of Nepal through a multi sector partnership with the Government of Nepal (GoN) at all levels, relevant UN agencies, private sectors and other USAID -funded initiatives. Helen Keller International (HKI) serves as the prime and lead organization for SII and partners with six consortium organizations to implement the program (CARE, FHI360, Digital Broadcast Initiative Equal Access (DBI EA), Environment and Public Health Organization (ENPHO), Nepali Technical Assistance Group (NTAG), Vijaya Development Resource Center (VDRC)).
Helen Keller International is implementing a supplemental program (SP) for community engagement and risk communication to prevent transmission of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19 in 42 districts of Nepal.
Resource Persons (RPs) will be responsible to liaise and coordinate with provincial governments (Ministry of Social Development) in the prevention of the transmission of COVID-19; and to provide technical support to Suaahara district teams and to roll out the Community Engagement activities. RPs will also provide overall technical support for designing, planning and implementing activities to prevent transmission of the COVID -19 at the provincial level. RPs will coordinate with Suaahara II district offices and provide technical support to the district teams and municipal governments; provide technical support the Suaahara staff and Municipal Health and WASH coordinators for community engagement to prevent the transmission of COVID-19 disease. RPs will report regularly to their concerning supervisor about progress status.
Educational qualifications and experiences:
Bachelors’ degree in Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) or other relevant medical degrees with an experience of working in the clinical field for at least 2 years. Preference will be given to those having experience of working with the federal or provincial government health delivery system.
